A compilation of Sathya Sai Baba's significant statements on more than 1,100 different subjects, including many taken from His recent discourses. The source of each quote is documented. Sathya Sai Baba declared it was a "Very Good Book!"; then He signed and blessed the manuscript, and materialized a three diamond ring for the author.

The subjects are presented in an easy to read format, and arranged in alphabetical order, from Aarthi to Zoroastrianism, to facilitate accesability. An extensive Sanskrit-to-English Glossary/Dictionary is appended.

The lexicographer has drawn material from nearly 80 published books and pamphlets, and the source is indicated for each entry. In the case of many holy men their sayings are written down or printed long after they have quit their mortal body, so the authenticity of the sayings is often debatable. "The quotations ring with authenticity and epigrammatic terseness. They have the force of incantations capable of transporting the reader to meditation. Here are a few examples:

Speaking about admiration Bhagavan says, "No one eats to appease another in hunger, nor takes drugs to alleviate another's illness. Do not seek the approval, appreciation or admiration of others."

Bhagavan brushes aside Atheists with the statement, "The nature of true love between the devotee and God cannot be understood by the unbelievers.".....

Talking on enmity, Swami says, "Ignore the abuses of others, because they serve only to diminish your sins and transfer them to the reviler."
