Brihat Jataka of Varahamihira

The English translation of Varahamihira's Brihat Jataka, the standard text book on astrology, is a monumental work in completing which the difficulties in translating a beautiful, technical and suggestive work in Sanskrit had to surmounted by hard labour, profound research and want of adequate expressions.

The earliest available translation of this book, dating from the 1880's. "Usha & Shashi" seem to have found a copy in the 1970's & to have persuaded Sagar to publish it under their names. The actual translator appears to have been an Englishman.
