The book is meant to lift astrologers of a beginner or intermediate level up to an advanced level. To work on the core roots of the subject, the first chapter deals with the Panca-anga, or the five limbs of the Vedic calendar. This particular area of jyotish is often overlooked due to lack of knowledge in application on part of the astrologer, and also the idea that it is merely a calendar system, and hence overlooked completely by astrologers following the Western Astrology System.

About the Author:

Visti Larsen was born and raised in Kenya;  at the age of nine he and his family moved to Denmark. He continued his education and upbringing in Denmark, where he still lives today. Since childhood he has been deeply interested in the hidden, the occult, and the Metaphysical. This interest lead to him to study Western Tropical Astrology when he was 16. During this time his interest in meditation and occult practices/rituals was heightened, to such an extent that it began to affect his high-school learning. At the age of 18 he became interested in Vedic Astrology- learning and exploring its wisdom through online discussion groups.

Visti Larsen was fascinated by the technical approach of Sri Sanjay Rath and his student Sri P.V.R. Narasimha Rao, and attracted by their strong connection to the spiritual roots of Vedic Astrology. So, at the age of 19, he joined Sri Jagannath Centre ®, which was established by Sri Sanjay Rath in 1998.

One and a half years later he was appointed as Jyotish Guru by Sri Sanjay Rath in Galway, Ireland on the sunrise of Monday the 12th of August 2002.

Since then Visti has traveled to many conferences, where he has shared the teachings of his Jyotish Guru - Sri Sanjay Rath. He has accompanied his Guru on many trips and attained much first hand knowledge during travel time with him.

He is currently studying Sanskrit and still tours with his Jyotish Guru to various conferences and workshops across the globe. He also maintains his own Vedic-Astrology website.
