About the Author:
Thirumathi Vasantha Manoharan comes from a village called Vadakkampatti which is situated three kilometers west of Kallkudi near Thrumangalam in Madurai District of Tamil Nadu (India). Her father Madurakavi Azhwar was a great patriot and freedom fighter of the congress party. He cultivated cotton plant in his own house, obtained cotton, converted it into yarn and then wove a cloth and offered it to Mahatma Gandhiji. Her mother was Vedavalli. She belongs to a family of orthodox Vaishnavite tradition.
Vasantha is a great and ardent devotee of Sri Krishna. The small sparks of love developed in due course and started raging as a fire, and later as a forest fire and it started burning her. When she was thirty five years old, one day during meditation Lord Sri Krishna appeared to her and said that he had incarnated as Sri Sathya Sai Baba at Puttaparthi. From that day, she has taken Sri Sathya Sai Baba as Sri Krishna and became his ardent devotee. She composed a garland of hymns "Sri Sai Gananjali" and offered it at the holy lotus feet of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Baba started appearing in her visions everyday. Later He started to enrich Her with incredible Divine experiences. Thrilling accounts of her experiences are condensed into some of her books which Sri Sathya Sai Baba has prompted her to write and dictated to her. Vasantha Sai, unique God woman of the contemporary world, the most unassuming, simple, shy, unostentatious, softly-spoken and genuinely loving sanyasin possessing a very high level of spiritual attainments, is profusely admired and deeply loved by her countless devotees, friends and other spiritual seekers not only from India but from many foreign countries.
