For two thousand years continuously Acharya Kundakunda has been the most dominant master and renowned author of Jaina religious texts. In his five great scriptural works and particularly in all of his pahuda compositions one can fully discern a synthesis of spiritualism and Jaina doctrines. Like all other works by him, this volume is also composed in Shaurseni Prakrit. Written by Acharya Jayasen (12th century), its Tatparyavritti commentary is an authentic interpretation of the work which has been edited mainly with language, purport and doctrine in view. 

The language maintains in simple Sanskrit the elaborateness of the original text. This commentary refers to some such doctrinal points which are not found in any other commentary. To fathom the depths of doctrine and spirituality, therefore, it is worthwhile to single-mindedly study the original commentary, translation, and introduction. Edited and translated by Pandit Mannulal Jain, this work is particularly worth acquiring for lovers of Jaina doctrine.
