In the Indian epic Mahabharata, the battlefield of Kurukshetra holds a very significant position. It was here that the mighty warrior Arjuna lost control over his nerves when he had to fight his own blood relations, mentors and illustrious reachers. Lord Krishna, the Supreme Godhead in the avatar of Arjuna's charioteer understood his despondency and advised him on what he should be doing.
This sermon by Lord Krishna, knwon as the Bhagavad Gita is held in the highest esteem by the Hindus but it would not be wrong to say that this message is for entire mankind. It may have been delivered in the setting of a battlefield but illumined minds have found it very relevant in present times as well.
