Looking beyond the point of view of dynasties, periods or religions, the book traces the various social and historical developments in the field. While examining the planning and design orientation of peoples and architectural techniques across India, the volume pays special attention to that of Western India especially Gujarat and Rajasthan. About the Author :V.S.Pramar (1928-2004) retired as Professor and Head of the Department, School of Architecture, M.S.University of Baroda.
