Social movement

A movement is  the manifestation of ire  and anger of the masses, in general, regarding any specific issue of public interest.  Though, it differences, yet it turns the tables, once the required momentum is gained.  As far as Indian history, is concerned, it is replete with movemements.  Of them, the National Movement of 1857, holds the paramount importance as regards the Independence of India.  Thereafter, a series of movements followed.  TheKhilafat Movement, the Quit India Movement, Non-cooperation and Satyagraha etc. and the cause of independence kept on steering forward in spite of all setbacks.  This work, Social Movements is a modest attempt in this concern.
