The book explains that the Hindu Gods are manifestations of the One Supreme Being in different forms. A Hindu gets nearer to God when he gives the God a shape and a form. God is all shapes and, for a Hindu, can be worshipped in any form. There are thirty-three crore and thirty lakh in Hinduism. This book is about the deities that are worshipped the most.
