The Yogasutras of Patanjali on Concentration of Mind

The Yogasutras are one of the most important works of Indian culture, and constitute the foundational text of Yoga. An attempt to interpret the Yogasutras based on some special criteria:

(1) To use the traditional commentaries as auxiliaries, not as guides,
(2) To interpret those sutras which Patanjali anaysis real phenomena,
(3) To adhere to a unitary and singular meaning for the technical terms of Patanjali, and
(4) To adhere also to the definitions given by Patanjali.
