Yogic and Tantric Medicine

Yoga with its eight components enunciates principles, the practice of which can make one healthy both physically and mentally. During the past two decades, Yoga has been invsetigated scientifically. The findings indicate that more than curing different diseases, Yoga has a role in the promotion of health and in the prevention of diseases, in particular those caused by stress and strain of modern living. Tantra, unlike Yoga, does not directly influence health or disease, but indirectly, its practice through the ages has been benefical in making and keeping the body healthy.

In this book, medical aspects of Yoga and Tantra have been described and discussed in their historical perspective.
