B.V. Subbarayappa b. 1925 is honorary director of the centra for history and philosophy of science at the Indian Institute of World culture Bangalore. He was formerly executive secretary of the Indian National Science Academy New Delhi Project coordinator and member secretary of the National commisssion for the history of science in India, director, discoery of India project, Nehru centre, Bombay.
