Here are some glimpsis of the unique life of Sri Sarada Devi, the divine consort of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa, combining her human and divine roles. The life of Sri Sarada Devi, known to devotees also as the Holy Mothe or Sri Sri Ma, had been a mixture of the Mundane and the profoundly spiritual. She effortlesslymoved from the grossly external to the supremely internal levels of existence all through her life. She faced tremendous hardships with a serenity that is almost impossible to encounter elsewhere. Each incident of her life serves as a core for contemplating on the highest truths embedded in our ancient scriptures and paradoxically in our ordinary lives. The volume bring out all these facets of her experience from a special perspective.
Professor M Sivarankrishna, former head,Department of English, Osmania University, Hydrabad, has been closely associated with the movement of Ramakrishna-Sarada- vivekananda Vedanta, since his childhood. He was initiated at the age of eighteen, durung the birth centenary of Sri Sarada Devi in 1953. IN the last fifty years, he has written many books and articles on the movement and the Holy Mother which have been published nationally and internationally. The present volume coincides with the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sri Sarada Devi.
