This is an important work expounding ashtanga nimitta or the eight-part science of omens in Jaina astrology. Experts of nimittta shastra or knowledge of omens hold that before the occurrence of every event certain disturbances can be seen to take place in nature which if correctly understood can help one to easily foretell auspicious or inauspicious events which could happen in the future. This work is an exposition of favourable or unfavourable portents of future happenings indicating rainfall or draught, plenitude or famine, joy or sorrow, income or loss, victory or defeat pertaining to an individual, society, or nation based on omens like falling of a meteor, lightening, cloud, wind, excessive rain, Gandharva city, natural calamity, unpropitious planetary effects, civil war, dream, auspicious moment, date, articulation, augury etc. Edited and translated by Dr, Nemichandra Jyotishacharya, this work was first published by Bhartiya Jnanpith in 1959 with a detailed introduction. We present this new edition of the work to lovers of astrology in a new form and attractive get up. This book is in Sanskrit with Hindi Translation.
