This book is an effort to bring forth the contribution of great poets of English poetry. The book begins with a chapter on William Blake and his poetic style. He touched matters which lay on the out skirts of the realm of pure poetry political, social and religious. William Blake is considered to be one of the pioneers in English poetry. The other great poets include Sir Walter Scott, Shelley, Epipsychidion and Keats. The other notable poet Shelley is discussed further. Shelley is one of the most striking instances of our time of the way in which an artist, ignored or abused in his own day, rises from the grave into which the critics have burried him, and when their noxious have perished, lives as a power in the hearts of Man. The book ends with individual chapters on Epipsychidion and Keats whose contribution is nevertheless not less than the above three.
