This book, based on the author`s Ph.D. thesis, offers a serious look at the exploration of ancient Indian literature-Buddhist figurative literature in particular. Most of the arguments in the book are presented on the basis of original sources. Extensive use of references and footnotes gives this book basically the character of a compandious dictionary of Buddhism and Hinduism.
About the Author :Lee,Der-huey is currently working as an assistant professor at the Center for General Education, Hsing Wu College in Taiwan. He obtained his Ph.D. in Buddhism fron the university of Delhi, India. Dr. Lee also takes a keen interest in English and Chinese poetry. He has contributed to wel-known encyclopedias of philosophy, and Holy people of the world :An Encyclopedia.
