The present work primarily deals with the Jaina artefacts discovered in the past as well as those housed in various Museums in the country and beyond, as far as practicable. Though every effort has been made to include in this work as much information as collected. The work will be of considerable interest both to the scholars and researchers alike.

SHANTI LAL NAGAR, a graduate of the Punjab University, served in the curatorial capacity in the Central Asian Antiquities Museum, New Delhi, the Archaeological Museum, Nalanda, and the Archaeological section of the Indian Museum, Calcutta. He was awarded a Fellowship for his monograph on the Temples of Himachal Pradesh, New Delhi.
