The present edition is the combined volume of two hymns (Sri Ramanasuprabhatam and Sri Ramanalahari). The first, Sri Ramanasuprabhatam, is the first one of its type to be dedicated to the master. The author is Swami Shantananda of Vasishta Guha. English translation as well as transliteration accompany the text. Padachchedana has also been indicated. This has already been published in the Souvenir commemorating the hundredth anniversary of Sri Bhagavan's Advent at Arunachala. The speciality of the second hymn, Sri Ramanalahari, is that it was composed by Sri Narendra Kesari Sharma of Nepal even before he had the first darsan of the master. This would reveal the depth of his devotion and understanding. The sanskrit original consisting of 52 verses published along with transliteration and translation in two languages--English and Tamil.
