In this book, more than a dozen articles, by universally renowned writer and scholar Dr. Ravindra Kumar are included. Although most of the articles are based on welfaristic philosophies of Buddhism and Gandhism, but the rest, especially on morality and non-violence are also important and worth giving a thought, as he is of the opinion that man is non-violent by nature, and that non-violence is not a matter of convenience; rather non-violence is a value permanently present in human nature.

Simultaneously, his views pertaining to thousands of years of human history, in which various civilizations raised their flags in different parts of the globe, from time to time, confirms the fact that morality always remained established in human society in both forms, direct as well as indirect; and morality, as one of the strong supplementary value of non-violence, not only existed, rather it functioned as a guide remaining active and dynamic in daily chores of man, and ultimately it called for all-round human welfare and inspired man for this purpose. About the Author:

Dr. Ravindra Kumar (b. 1959) is an Eminent Scholar, Writer and Indologist. He is the former Vice-Chancellor of C.C.S. University, Meerut (India). Dr. Ravinra Kumar has been closely associated with a number of academic, cultural, educational and social institutions in India and abroad. He has 50 outstanding works and 150 research articles to his credit.

Some of his famous works, of which many are of international repute and have been translated in several Indian and foreign languages, viz.., Towards Peace Vol. I and II, Morality and Ethics in Public Life, Religion and World Peace, Lilfe and work of Kanjibhai Desai, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Com. He is the founder of the World Peace Movement Trust, a member of I.C.P.A., Executive Councils / Senates of several Indian Universities and a Consultant of UN University of Peace for Gandhian Studies. He has visited many countries of the world as a Visiting Scholar and Professor. The President of India has conferred the honour of 'Padma Shri' upon Dr. Kumar for his outstanding services.
