No God, no teaching, no spiritual salvation, no hope - U.G. Krishnamurti offers you none of these. On the contrary, he demolishes everything you've ever stood for. He said, "Unless humankind comes to terms with the blunt truth that it is no more important than the mosquito or the field rate, it is doomed. Whatever I say cannot be used to promote myself or promote any cause for the welfare of mankind. What I say undermines the very foundation of human thought. How can society be interested in what I say? When this body drops dead it will be recycled by nature just like a garden slug to enrich the soil.
In short it will just rot. If you want comfort go to the gurus. They will sell it to you. I don't give a damn for all the teachers that existed before me. They were conmen, they conned themselves, and conned the whole of mankind. Here is a collection of conversations which U.G. had in Amsterdam. In these conversations, U.G. creates a structure that makes sense--and even if you can't quite hold on to it, you can come back again and again.
Review:
"The cutting-edges of the arguments of Krishnamurty presented in this book are very penetrating... The book is worth reading because it adds valuable addition in our life. U.G. deconditions and unloads our minds from the undesirable (but friendly, burden of so many concepts and creates space for more healthy, constructive, and critical mental temper." - Book Reviews
