Reading, reciting and learning of the Quran by heart are not the ways of real approach to it. By approach we mean that we should understand what the Quran says to us, what message it conveys to us, and what demand it makes from us. Keeping these points in mind, International Centre for Religious Studies has made an effort to compile a comprehensive Encyclopaedia of the Holy Quran in 5 volumes which explores about 300 important themes to meet the demand of the contemporary world: Genesis and Exegesis of the Holy Quran; God and his Attributes; Prophets and other quranic personalities; Major events; Society, State and Politics; Philosophy; Psychology; Economics; Educations; Ethics; Science; Environment; Law of land and universe; Quranic Interpretations and Interpretors, Quran in contemporary world. All the 300 themes of this Encyclopaedia have been edited and compiled in alphabetical order by reputed Islamic scholars--N.K. Singh, Director, International Centre of Religious Studies and the chief editor of Global Religious Vision--a quarterly research journal; A.R. Agwan, Former Director, Institute of Objective Studies and its founder Secretary General.
