PURUSHOTTAM LAL BHARGAVA, M.A. (Sanskrit, History and Hindi), Ph.D. (History), Shastri, Vidya Mahodadhi, is one of India's leading historians and Indologists. A recipient of many academic honours and awards, including two gold medals of Lucknow University and a citation from the Rajasthan Sanskrit Academy, he received the 1995 award for eminence in Sanskrit scholarship from the President of India. Dr. Bhargava has published over sixty research papers in renowned Indological journals of India, Italy and England.
