A rare combination of a writer, photographer and musician, Kumud Mohan obtained a diploma in Journalism from the School of Careers, Berkshire, UK. She graduated in Home Science from Lady Irwin College, New Delhi, and attained Visharad in Classical Music from Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya, New Delhi. She also completed a course in Art and Culture conducted by the National Museum, New Delhi.
Kumud Mohan was awarded a trophy by the Automobile Association of Upper India for long-distance driving. She was also accorded recognition by Landbase India for excellence in photography and by the Indian Red Cross for distinguished voluntary service.
