Tourism Development in India

Travel and tourism occupies a pivotal position internationally and is considered to be an important sector next to oil industry. Realising the importance of tourism and its foreign exchange earnings most of the countries in the world have been endeavouring to promote this sector. India is not an exception to the on-going changes internationally and has been encouraging privatisation with its liberal economic reforms. Andhra Pradesh is one of the four principal Southern States of India and was formed in the year 1956 on Linguistic lines. The sweet language "Telugu" is considered as "Italian of the East". Andhra Pradesh is confluence of many a cultural stream. Andhra Pradesh is considered as Gateway for Southern Tourism with an Oasis of peace, calm and serenity. The state is referred to as a River State with beautiful country side and is a cynosure to the tourist. This ancient unique land is with forests, rocks, hills, water falls, lakes and with Lush Green Fields that appears as a Green Shawl spread out in the gleaming sun shine. There are many sacred and secular shrines in Andhra Pradesh which are famous and splendid in stone. Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts are unique. The Nirmal paintings and Kondapally Toys are magnificent. Having dance, drama, magic, mystery, glory and grandeur this state will be a delightful paradise to the visiting tourists. The state is a center for most exquisite and exclusive manufacturing of Sarees and dress materials in which the life style will take a different dimension. A caring attitudes is just as important as an expertise. The Andhrites are friendly and the hospitality of the people is also very unique and warm. It will be a exciting and unique experience to those who wants to know more about fun and the real meaning of life by visiting various places in Andhra Pradesh.
