The Mandukya Upanishad of the Atharva Veda is the most important of all the major or classical Upanishads. It is the priceless treasure of a student on the path of Jnana Yoga because through the Mandukya Upanishad alone, it has been said, can final emancipation be attained. This short Upanishad gives the secret meaning of Om, which is the name of Brahman. It gives an analysis of the three states of waking, dream and deep sleep, which we experience every day.

Through a study and clear grasp of these states, through proper understanding of Om and its right significance, you can find the way to approach and realize Brahman. So, study the Mandukya Upanishad.
